Easy file management for Moodle

Davo Smith came up with a simple and elegant solution, the drag’n’drop upload block. What it is It basically does what it says on the tin; you drag files from your desktop (or from any other folder for that matter) and you drop it onto Moodle. You can see it magically upload onto Moodle! Yes, you read right: file s, with an s. You can upload multiple files with this, and I’m yet to reach some sort of limit with this system....

Is your Moodle installation healthy?

Moodle forums This should really be your first step. If you found my website using Google and have never used the moodle.org forums, please do yourself a favour and go there. Need to upload bogus users quickly to Moodle? Download this!

I am heavily testing Moodle 2 to see whether it is suitable for our needs. I often reset my Moodle 2 sandbox to its original state and therefore need to re-upload users for every refresh. While there are some tools to generate users, I prefer to have a CSV file at the ready to not add any more time than I need to an already boring task. I created a Moodle user CSV file that contains about 110 bogus people and quite a few fields already completed....

Question creation – Get your students to create Moodle quizzes/tests for you!

This is where this assignment comes into play. Its premise is simple: students create a number of questions that you will review, and then export to add to your current question bank and create tests with. Sounds great, doesn’t it? Students working for you, brilliant! Well, let’s have a look, shall we? The great Activities are easy to setup Once installed, it is very easy to create your first activity....
